Epiphany

Its interesting how everything arrives to a certain point for some people, kind of like an ultimatum for yourself. Sometimes I find myself thinking that "everything happens for a reason" in a sense of comfort for the mind but recently I found that it's actually abuse of that phrase.
To focus on things that make you comfortable makes u safe, which in turn makes u scared of failing and in turn make you not take risks.
Failing makes you question oneself whether anot what you did was wrong? But it is good naturally because they say through failure comes greater success.
BUT THE THING IS that if you scared in failing one thing it transcends to all aspects of your life.
Take for an example a kid at school scared of failing maths to disappoint his parents, it becomes he scared to make friends maybe because he scared they turn out not to be what he expects, and in turn becomes a vicious cycle to alot of aspects of his life. That's how I feel but not nesscessarily affects everyone the same way. Doubt actually enforces your beliefs and if it does not means your beliefs are constantly changing as you do a person.
Same for a drug addict, he is an addict because he does not question himself enough, if he did would he not see the destruction he is doing to himself?
But then again all of these statements are flawed in itself.

Ken's Song

I found this great comic called Ken's Song in my school library, apparently it's kind of like a sequel to Wake Up Your Ideas which i bought years ago. It is a great local comic that follows a man's life through NS and post NS. I don't know if there is anymore of this author's comic but what i see here so far is pretty cool. This was both published around 1992 i think.

Ed the Clown

WOW, I just read this amazing comic series by Chester Brown called Ed the Clown. Amazingly freaky, fun, touching, stupid and funny. Check this out if you can. Seriously.

1988

This Little boy here found its way into my sketches. Kids are really great, especially after that day going with Kaixiang on his photoshoot for Kindergarten and preschool kids for their graduation.

The teachers were really really loud. Fierce that kind of loud.

Alot of that reminded amazingly of the day I had to get my pictures taken for my kindergarten or primary school. It was really really bad experience back then. I am glad Kaixiang at least try to make it easier for them.

It's amazing to look at the kids and realize the things they would or might have to go through to get to your age. As great or horrible the experiences might be I would not want to repeat it if I do not have to.

But it was worth it.

drawing female faces again

Drawing female faces again. Must focus on delicate details more sia.
I am trying to focus on a realistic female and not over the top FHM style features. Tough to shift the focus i tell you.

WOW its been long

To those who still read it has been one heck of a half of semester. I learnt more in this semester than I have for any others.

The picture above is from my Advanced Film Production shoot where we shot on film! For me it is a first since the bolex shoot in drama. It was damn tiring man with measuring distances, lighting, blocking and what not. But the film came out as it is and I am happy with what came out but felt alot of stuff can be improved. It was what it was.

The picture to the left is Jowell being Jowell on our reckey for our Documentary Production Shoot. We found an interesting antique shop, therefore from our initial idea of interviewing a toy store owner, it turned to interviewing this antique shop owner.

Interesting and efficient shoot. Fastest one I ever been on.

Came out quite good, kudos to Jeff and Jowell for POst production, I was useless.

The third shoot of mine I do not really have a picture of, because it's with Terence. But we did have to also help out the other team on the same project they helped us and here is a group picture of us. The footage Faried came out with was excellent and we all got Burned for it. I look like char siew man. It was a tiring shoot but I was glad to have crewed on it.

So it is 3 projects down and another 3 to go. Once those 3 are done its over. WOW what a semester.

New school year but everything seems so old...

New school year and all and left half a year to studying, so weird to return without seeing so many of the familiar faces.

Without seeing Kaixiang and Sean at the FCP room figuring out to export and cursing as if there is no tomorrow.

Not seeing Yvonne and Krystal in the Production Planning room rushing their budget like crazy.

Not seeing Zong Hui in the CG room doing models of private parts.

Not seeing Hazman working out in the gym in his lunch hours.

Not seeing eric going around photographing plants in the weirdest positions possible and constantly reminding me about "feeling".

Not seeing Kwangwei or Yvonne in the Matrox rushing an edit but having totally different expressions on their faces.

Not seeing Kesong hanging around the cage waiting while showing off how his biceps have developed.

And so many other people that are having their presence gone from the block.

Just weird to walk around.

Anyway I cannot put back the tagboard for some reason. Anything just comment.

Seeya arnd.

Small Update

Hello back for a post.

Nothing much has been happening around, besides just lazing around.

My Modules for next semester seem interesting enough, and I finally got a school day that does not consist of any classes! I cannot believe it took me 2 years to get this day off thing.

I also failed my advance theory, loooks like I am going to have to do it again..

Ok small update only, Byez.

Post IT fair pains

Been working at the IT fair for 4 days and it has been a pretty weird and tiring experience which I will do it again if I do it again.

Finally got 2 weeks of rest before things start up again and it has been nice since I have taken the day just relaxing and watching dvds.

I can't believe the amount of trash generated at this IT fair I mean it was more like trying to find the floor surfaces under the thick layer of paper.

Ang Lee is about to finish his recent espionage film and really I admire him man.

It is hard to think that a couple of years back he was about to decide to drop out of filmmaking after the failure of the hulk(which I thought was a cool movie despite it being a little typical).

Brokeback Mountain was just going to be another small movie he was going to make that maybe he could contribute to the film world before he took the final curtain call.

But then it ballooned into this phenomenen which brought him to the oscars and right on the top most director list. But still unsatisfied that it did not get Best Picture because it was about a team effort.

One moment you may choose something and life takes you in a totally different direction.

Try to go with the flow I guess.

Long long time since updated

As my Grandfather wrote calligraphy for his own work. I wondered how long of experiences he had whether good or bad. To reach the point where everything that has happened to him has enabled him to be equipped to deal with love, pain, loss or anything for that matter.

It's just that to come to that point seems really far away to me right now.
How often man do you feel like you really made a shitty mistake but although you learn something but you wished the cost it took you to learn is really no worth it.
But yet you have to bounce back despite you may feel damn tired. But it's also a damn cool feeling.
Been working in school lately to do cataloging work and filling out documents. Nothing much.
Got some work here and there so its pretty good.
Advance theory is tough to study manz.
I really miss you guys because won't get to see alot of people till graduation next year.
REALLY COOL MOVIES OUT AT THIS TIME GO CATCH IT PEOPLE
