Epiphany

Its interesting how everything arrives to a certain point for some people, kind of like an ultimatum for yourself. Sometimes I find myself thinking that "everything happens for a reason" in a sense of comfort for the mind but recently I found that it's actually abuse of that phrase.
To focus on things that make you comfortable makes u safe, which in turn makes u scared of failing and in turn make you not take risks.
Failing makes you question oneself whether anot what you did was wrong? But it is good naturally because they say through failure comes greater success.
BUT THE THING IS that if you scared in failing one thing it transcends to all aspects of your life.
Take for an example a kid at school scared of failing maths to disappoint his parents, it becomes he scared to make friends maybe because he scared they turn out not to be what he expects, and in turn becomes a vicious cycle to alot of aspects of his life. That's how I feel but not nesscessarily affects everyone the same way. Doubt actually enforces your beliefs and if it does not means your beliefs are constantly changing as you do a person.
Same for a drug addict, he is an addict because he does not question himself enough, if he did would he not see the destruction he is doing to himself?
But then again all of these statements are flawed in itself.

Ken's Song

I found this great comic called Ken's Song in my school library, apparently it's kind of like a sequel to Wake Up Your Ideas which i bought years ago. It is a great local comic that follows a man's life through NS and post NS. I don't know if there is anymore of this author's comic but what i see here so far is pretty cool. This was both published around 1992 i think.

Ed the Clown

WOW, I just read this amazing comic series by Chester Brown called Ed the Clown. Amazingly freaky, fun, touching, stupid and funny. Check this out if you can. Seriously.

1988

This Little boy here found its way into my sketches. Kids are really great, especially after that day going with Kaixiang on his photoshoot for Kindergarten and preschool kids for their graduation.

The teachers were really really loud. Fierce that kind of loud.

Alot of that reminded amazingly of the day I had to get my pictures taken for my kindergarten or primary school. It was really really bad experience back then. I am glad Kaixiang at least try to make it easier for them.

It's amazing to look at the kids and realize the things they would or might have to go through to get to your age. As great or horrible the experiences might be I would not want to repeat it if I do not have to.

But it was worth it.
