Heya for those who still read

Wow I have not touched this blog in quite a long time.
It's weird because it feels so like weird to write again.

So far its been my birthday that had just passed so I am finally 18. LEGAL AGE FOR M18 and the next is R21! Thanks KX for taking pictures and putting up on his multiply site.

Things has been pretty ugly and rough but then its nice to see that everythings somehow works out or something to that level.
Also nice to see people getting together and all celebrating the human race during christmas. Love is something that is universal however its overshadowed by terrorism and all.

People have grown abit like skeptic towards love and all because if hiw we focus on the ugly side of things.

Not only love but also HOPE

Its how you want to see it really. HOPE is not something thats like given i feel, it's painful and difficult and to get to it.
Yet to maintain pure of heart to the end is also hard.

Season greetings everyone.
New Year Wishes to all.

Parents can be bullshit sometimes

Sometimes parents advice can really be bullshit sometimes.. Not saying that their advice harms you cos they won't want to but its bullshit certain stuff. You got to take it by a grain of salt.
If we were to listen every advice our parents gave we would go up just to be like our parents and would not be such things as "different" generations.

How do you deal with this>? Listen.
Why? Cos you got to. And sometimes you might find some little pieces of information that might work. But if it's bullshit you got to think some stuff or ALOT of it is also bullshit.

We all as objective as we wish we could be. We just want to be right.
So do I

But it's what we as humans are like this.

Maybe it's because why we like the computer so much because it doesn't disagree with us. Not ALL the time at least...

Tengu Shootout is OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off?! It is off to the DV fest i think. I hope. Let's see how much crap during post production it took.
NUmber one: voiceovers- needed to do some to make the story understandable but my voice sounded like crap

NUMBER two: PAL? Yea PAL the supposedly format suppose to export in is UNABLE TO but got a way arnd it but there might be degradation.

NUMBER three: CUTTING TO MAKE SENSE!!!!!! I tried as much to edit like I did in loc pro but manz it is hard. You dun wan it to look amateurish BUT IT STILL DOES!!!!!!!!!

Number four: SOUND EFFECTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needed tons! To not make it look abit weird and had to add SO MANY FISHING LAYERS TO ACHIEVE ONE SIMPLE EFFECT

Number five: MUSIC!!!!!!!! SO MANY COPY RIGHT ISSUES!!!! Lucky I ended up using all of Steve's music which HELPED SUCH A GREAT DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NUmber six: Watching it all and saying that it doesn't work making everything shift and cut and tighter and cleaner.

NUMBER seven: WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET. On computer is one look. On television is another look. On camcorder is another looK!

Number eight: WILD SOUND!!!!!!!!! WHY DIDNT I RECORD AMBIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAD SO MUCH TO EDIt in audio to make it seem like one smooth transition.

NUMBER NINE: Credits?!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS FORMAT!? I FORGOT!!!!!!!!

NUMBER ten: Exporting is a WHOLE load of shit on it's own.

FINALLY thinking that it might not get through the contest based on the fact that it had some glitch with some technicality really pisses me off.
But its out there and its done.
So here to the Tengu SHootout and all that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: will pass to u guys some time the vid (Kaixiang u betta chill)

ANNA NICOLE SMITH WHAT?!

I was watching Entertainment Tonight and there was this constant mention of Anna Nicole Smith. Her life sounded really complicated and I decided to go to WIKIPEDIA to search about her background, which was when I found this. I guess that's hatred in a nutshell.

WOW

I just saw president's star charity and I was WOWED by this particular segment from Singapore Polytechnic where they showed snippets of their musical. It was a little rough but WOW to see Singapore Poly students come up with something soooo original! I mean it concerns with the Superstar phenomenen that is sweeping the nation. The musical is "SUPERSTAR" and it is around beginning of October I think. It delves with the anxiety and insecurities with the sort of Superstar competitions (I think) from the segments I saw on the show.
Catch IT!

Wah liew SEH Welcum to the Suck

Nothing much up. Finding work to do still.
Did some things I regret too.
Joanne's birthday was great and Happy for her to be one year more mature mentally. I think. I feel bad for not really getting her a gift( I know I know) and am trying to make one but will take a while. Rewatching Seinfeld again and again. Missed 1990s man.
ROBERT RODRIGUEZ ROCKS!
RIAN JOHNSON TOO!!
ANDREW LAU TOO!! ( For Infernal 1)
QUENTIN TARANTINO!!
JOHN WOO!!!

Cleaned up my shot list quite a bit(will not reveal too much here)...
Holiday leh why so boringggzzz.
I want to be back at the CG lab doing huo huo huo huo huossssssssss.

I was thinking about how love works and it really does not.
Weirdly though I feel the term MAKING LOVE is incorrect.
Because if you having sex with a person just for the sake of that is that LOVE?
Maybe at some degree. Though that is vague.
Question and Answers. Whats important is the process of finding it rather than actually found it.
Maybe.
Welcome to the suck.

By the way to show Zong Hui's Transformers in full glory I tried Global Illumination to make it more clean or something.
HEre it is: (duno can tell if got Final gathering or wadever)

LONG LONG return if anyone still reading

I saw Eric Khoo at the film screening of Short Cuts at the National Museum. I kind of felt weird because all this time I wanted to meet him. Not because to like tell him I am a fan or something but I am to a certain degree. I thought that if I could meet him like maybe somehow his films would make sense to me. Anyway I did not go up to him but my friend did to get his signature.
I admire him for the fact he is making films but I don't really appreciate his pictures although I tried.

The past few weeks in the CG lab is the most fun I ever had. It has great energy and wonderful people there. Tiring and crap but fun.

Huo Huo Huo!

At the esplanade watching fireworks(not reallyh watching) I realised how much people are fascinated by fireworks.

Not much to update lar. My life quite boring.
Sorry to those who come by.

It is a damn cool character lah Rocky.
WOO HOO!
Watching a movie call Remember the Titans. It is damn freaking cool football movie. Challenge between black and white and how they come together to win the football championship. More than a game it is a bonding and that is the best thing to taken away than a win.

Half the time we say what we don't feel and feel what we don't say.
To everyone.
Its odd how it turns out.

YAYAYAYAYAY(how often do u feel like this?)

PARENTS
You nag at me, You irritate me
You cause my blood to boil
Make me feel like digging my head right into the soil
Everytime you make me feel, As if I was ready to kill
You constantly make me lose my temper
Alway embaressing me in front of people.
But you were the ones who gave me life
Held my hand when I cried
Gave me lesson I really hated
Took my sweet time as you waited
Gave me a ride I never needed
And sometimes were never appreciated.
Because I took you guys for granted.

Learnt alot of lessons

I learnt alot of lessons this week and one of them is to know when to shut up and that ANYTHING can be twisted.

I don't blame anyone anymore. Because to blame some is to say that he did something completely wrong and you did none. Which I have done some in my day too.

The bolex was DAMN cool by the way its like loading some sort of machine gun.

Mission IMpossible 3 I caught it with some good company(Zong Hui, Daniel, Eric and Kaixiang).
Their great fun to watch a movie with.

This is one of funnest week I have had in a long time.

This is just smth I wanna write so if you dun bother to read then just skip:

AVERAGE.

I never made the top, or ever stood out
I never had to worry much or ever liked to speak out loud
I never had a girl or gotten into drugs
I feel safe most of the time, in a world on mine own.
I could step out anytime, but I never seem to go.
I know it is not forever or even realistic.
But to be somewhere familiar and be simplistic
It is heaven for me and makes me optimistic
Though I know the unknown may be beautiful I have not dared ventured
But maybe someday I shall enter and have a wonderful adventure
Till then I stay in my little shell
Hoping everything goes smooth and well.

I also duuno why I wrote this.
NEVEr knooowwwww... OOKkkkkkkaee

Well been boring and boring and more boring.

I want to watch MI3!!! Wow really for me is the hardest movie to catch.

This was not what I saw.

I was reading the synopsis on New Line DVD Cyberwars( a.k.a Avatar).
This was what it read:
Starring Harvey Keitel and Scott Glenn. Clayton Price (Glenn) an American government hit man gone astray assassinates a U.S. military leader in Mexico and now on the run he makes a pact with a vacationing couple to help him disappear in the Mexican jungle. What this couple doesn't know is Price's secret past and the fact that the U.S. CIA is quick on his trail led by CIA operative Walter McGrane (Keitel). It is McGrane’s instructions to bring back Price at any cost, dead or alive.

But I did not see all this in the original cut.

This was more close to what I saw which was the synopsis at IMDB:
In the near future in the Asian city-state Sintawan, everyone's identity is recorded in the vast CyberLink. The only way around this is using illegal simulated identity implants (sims). A young bounty hunter who makes her living tracking sims, finds herself the unlikely ally of a police detective who suspects the CyberLink is being perverted for an insidious and deadly purpose.

WOw thats a big change.
I mean its possible to change or take out a character of a movie like Fearless and Michelle Yeoh.
But wow this is a pretty big change man.
But its all about the business so, can't complain.

Watching movies.

Hey guys I really have been up to nothing much except talking and watching movies.
Movies are really action type like From Dusk till Dawn and more of Robert Rodriguez movies.

Have seen a recent review on Avatar on a website, Avatar was a Singapore Sci fi movie consisting of an international cast.
I have seen the movie before with a couple of my FSV group mates and it was interesting to see Singapore set futuristically but the attempt was not that great.
Though the movie basing only on the dialogue consisted alot of depth the execution of the project was not good.
I could see that the filmmakers really put alot of their effort into it and I hope they will have a chance to remake it.

Brick is another film I have been keeping my eye on. It was introduced to me by Daniel Tan.
The movie from what I have read and seen is really true NOIR. For me the definition of NOIR is as follows:
Really weird mystery
Sexy women who are decieving
A anti hero who is investigating into this mystery.
A unknown figure who holds all power
A guy who helps the anti hero and occasionally has answers.

This must have been a difficult film to promote because it is set in a high school.
Which most people's formula
High school+mystery=Hardy boys.
But it really isn't
Though it will not be screening in Singapore anytime soon(no release date) enjoy the trailer at apple .com(under Focus Features). Or go to wikipedia because it has a few cool links.

Thats about it so make the best of the time you have.

Well the Saturday shoot seems to have covered most of the shots I need.
Thanks to Jowell and Kaixiang who was so understanding though they may not have really understood what I was doing.
Post production has not really started as I have to clear out my harddisk before having enough space to load the raw footage.

Exile

Heys guys sry I have not responded for so long. But I have read your tags and the tagboard and to respond your messages I have prepared the following comments.
I am not so smart to use reverse psychology.

Ok I have been in exile, nothing much has been happening unless you consider the street sign that my father found and I am using it to conduct heat away from my laptop.

Speaking of laptop for you apple enthusiasts a quick note is that people entering FMS has to buy a apple notebook with quite a good package and alot of support.(Informant: Sean)

Man do I miss the last week of the poly term.

Will try to update more regularly guys and thanks for tagging.

Back to Exile.

Today is just another day

SUnburn a little and EXhausted from yesterday Sentosa outing .
I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS CHANCE TO APOLOGIZE TO THEA FOR HITTING HER ACCIDENTALLY.

Oh my gosh I was so embarresed but I must face up to my action.

Lovely day yet I am in the house all day.

I am so proud of MR Ang Lee. Brokeback Mountain broke down stereotypes and redfined the meaning of love for me.

But I still like girls. Call me.

View

My father has been talking and some interesting stuff popped up that I feel should be written.

He read in a book that Time may not exist. Then it got me thinking: Well we give a definition of how things age and all that is just things HAPPENING. Randomly things happen and we try to find a pattern within that. It may be essential for us to know this because it may very well be another form of evolution for us.
Imagine if we do accept this new perspective of how time may not actually exist and how various thing are "suppose" to happen e.g people in Singapore have an average lifespan of about 60 years. We may even have the ability to control how fast or slow we want to age.
I do not believe this to be impossible because we can see evidence of things that evolve from totally radical ideas( the earth is round) to small things like how our kidneys are able to remove toxins better compared to people a decade ago due to the resistence we build.

But when you put religion into context it may not fit. From what I know in any religion it is that Superior Being that decides when u should go and not you( People from any religion correct me if I am wrong). But then the Superior Being also gives us a choice which is also known as Free Will so we have OUR choices to make how we percieve things and how you handle such perception.

Also another thing, I recently found that if a government has a tighter hold over country may not be a bad thing so long as it is for the interest of a country.
But it does not mean when a country is prospering that it is a good thing. Comfortability is a weakness that most people have myself TOTALLY included and through conflict there is sometimes progress.
The thing I feel is that certain words are associated to a more negative side which is an important thing to note that we have certain schemata of things that should be overcomed.
And once we know that CONFLICT may not be a bad thing we may help ourselves understand that it actually may help us rethink our values and that the world is ever-changing.
But I do not support OFFICIAL BLOODY DEADLY Wars.

I also find that people take death as a negative thing a little too much. I mean we all know the loved ones who passed on SHOULD be in a better place. And that leaving from this plane of existence to the next should be a happier thing.
I feel that the concentration is too much on LOSING a loved one rather than a loved one MOVING ON.
Again it is about perception.
I am not saying I will feel like this as I still have certain impulses etched into me that I am not certain how I will react to death.
I also hope I have not offended anyone or anything with my views it is just there for viewing and not pinpointing or anything. I respect one and all.

Rotoscoping

I sketching Before Sunset trailer. Rotoscoping almost frame by frame.

I watched Chungking Express and is very odd because I did not feel as bored as I thought. And FAYE WONG was FANTASTIC. I like Hong Kong during that time period with all those enviroment like not too developed but still concrete jungle.

Ok I think that is all for now.

Movies

Some movies I watched that really affected my perception on relationships.
Movies like Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.
Before Sunrise really explored the possibilities of love and more naive thinking.
Before Sunset really does not give you any illusions and grounds you to the fact that the beauty of love between two people transcends beyond marriage.

The odd thing is that people are so worried about dying more than what they do when they are alive.

It is odd how obvious when someone likes someone else it becomes very obvious. How their behaviour becomes more unnatural around the person and they become more energetic, enthusiastic, etc.

I guess it is easier for me to romanticise the idea of being in love than actually being in love. The trouble is that I have seen people in love and it takes certain qualities to do that.

The evolution a relationship is very interesting.
Elements such as:
LUST
ATTRACTION
CARE
ENDURANCE
PAIN
ANNOYANCE
FORGIVENESS
STAGNENT
NUMBNESS
ANGER

Still man I really respect those people in relationship. SALUTE.

This Holiday Season

My room is a mess
I tried to clean abit but then it seems like just rearrange.

This is after cleaning but then its like still messy clean ah clean

It's sad to know that I am may not be grouping together with the same people next semester.
Even if I wanna quarrel should quarrel with people with I know than people I don't know. Actually I want to learn everything both audio and computer graphics. Maybe I could talk to Sean about it.

Computer Graphics is actually damn fun but must play music while working because it will seem damn tiring if don't have.

I need to find a part time job so if any of you got any recommendations tell me.

Goodbye and good luck T1B3.

HAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHHAAH

Odd, I want to delete my previous post but cannot find a record of it here in my editing post section. Look maannn I really not that violent.......................most of the time. Anyway that person has nothing to be feared of cause I don't feel that way anymore.
Abit of that friendship with that person died through that post from my point of view.
Watched this chinese movie called Nan Xiong Nan Di. Wah I really like the seventies it seems to be a nice time to be living in.
Valentine's Day is coming, that should be interesting though I don't really celebrate but I like to see people celebrate.
WAHAHAHAHA I high on music.

Tired but grateful

I would like to thank a few people: Jowell, Sean and Thea for helping out with me and Kaixiang's PHOTOSTORY project. It made me believe that people will still help others without expecting monetary rewards(AHEM I treat u lunch another time).
Wah but today is tiring with the photo taking for the people coming to the poly open house. Siaow man is like stand there and now my leg is in extreme pain which is BLOODY FISHING SHIOK.
Well lucky the studio was allowed for Kaixiang and I to use or else we would have something that SEEMED exciting but had to be compromised so much it would lose its initial essence. Of course we still have to do alot more shots but the more dramatic ones are more or less done.
Still got lots of things to do but the pressure is kind of FUN.
Still don't know what to do this holiday if anyone got recommendations tell me.
Tired ah. Shiok.

Post-Chinese New Year

Wah today is finally past. It is a tough day to get through man. TRUST ME.
Suppose to watch FEARLESS but was a little too late.

I promised to turn in a sketch last week and here it is.
I am thinking of starting a webcomic and hope this gives you an idea how it is going to be like.

It is just a rough sketch so pardon it's crudeness.
Ok man it is tiring to type.

My very first tablet drawn pic.

YAY! My very first drawing on a tablet and it is BLOODY fun!
Very nice sensitivity and strokes on this mean machine!
Copyright ah. blah blah blah whatever.

Brokeback Mountain seems like a good film and treats the topic of homosexuality with great respect. I mean if the film is off by abit it might seem fake or too vague. HOORAYs for Ang Lee winning the Golden Globe among very strong competition like Munich(Steven Spielberg) and King Kong(Peter Jackson).
The actors did a fantastic job from what I see from the trailer. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Music on the film is rather good and should check it out on Itunes.

I would also like to tell you guys about Cameron Duncan NewZealand filmmaker who died of osteosarcoma at the age of 17. He has made 2 inspiring short films which can be found on the Lord of the Rings extended dvds. He inspires the song "Into the West" from the ending credits of Return of the King. It affects me alot because I am now at the same age as him then and I am kind of doing the same stuff he is only at a much lower level.
For those who have heard of this from me ta-han abit and for those who have not go check it out at wikipedia by typing his name.
He will not be forgotten.

Another inspiring filmmaker is animator Terence Walker who has made a short animated film called Understanding Chaos. He has made the entire film himself from animation to dialogue and music. You can check out his blog/site at http://www.studioartfx.com/

SO long and thanks for all the FISH

The idea just struck me that my grandparents will actually die. I mean I do know but the idea of it becomes more real to me. Especially I see how my grandfather is having the flu and all on the bed with a jacket due to the cold weather now.
I think is like so sad yet empty.

Anyway

I got what I need and nothing more
I am a lucky person....now.

My few frustrating thoughts

Have you ever felt like your family driving you *FISHING* crazy and it is not rebellion on your side but purely their doing?
And then to top it off they don't admit their mistakes because they are your superiors?
AND to add to that fact you cannot really say they are whatever because they have supported you since young gave birth to you and blah blah blah.
Then you think about it and you fear you might be the one at fault as they have done so much for you and you are angry towards them for something.
Yah I cannot really say names here as if found might be incriminating towards me.

Anyway just forgetting.

Anyway above is the drawing I did previously with alterations. I got the idea for the color of the sky from looking outside my window.

I like the idea that I never really go out with a girl because of the fear of anything happen with that.
I will take ANY risk in the world except that.'
Either this is the reason or I just cannot find a girl
Anyway I like it this way and now my computer is my wife.
I mean it provides me with needs and all that.
Movies too (sexy women and action)
Just expect the worst of life and then if something bad happens it will seem normal and if something nice happens then it just seems better.

This is something I painted with my mouse. Do you guys know what it is? I scared it may too unreadable or too vague. Post comments as HARSH if required.
